Every day Langton Green’s leadership team shows appreciation for the incredibly important contributions of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) , but this week is cause for a special celebration. Langton’s leadership team planned special activities for Langton Green’s DSPs, in honor of National Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week (September 7-13, 2025). The week of fun included a festive brunch, an outdoor photo booth, raffle with prizes, a savory barbeque and recognition of DSPs who have gone “above and beyond.”

A virtual “Thankbox” features staff messages of appreciation for the professionalism and dedication of Langton’s DSPs. “We celebrate and honor our amazing DSPs for your hard work, dedication, and compassion. You make a tremendous difference every day helping those you support live meaningful and fulfilling lives. Thank you for going above and beyond –this week and always, we appreciate you!” says a message from the Nursing Team.

National Direct Support Professional (DSP) Recognition Week is celebrated annually in early September. It’s a time to recognize and acknowledge the important work that DSPs do for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
