Langton Green’s leadership team kicked off a week-long celebration in honor of Direct Support Professionals with a full slate of events and special recognition for DSPs. To show their appreciation, the leadership team planned activities throughout National Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week (September 8-14) to celebrate the contributions of DSPs.  Week-long fun included a festive brunch, outdoor photo booth, a raffle with prizes, barbeque lunch, and daily spotlights on DSPs who have gone “above and beyond”.

“Direct Support Professionals are the backbone of our organization,” says Christopher Jones, Chief Operating Officer, Langton Green.  “National DSP Week is a special time dedicated to honoring and celebrating the invaluable work our DSPs do each day. Their commitment, compassion, and professionalism profoundly impacts the lives of those we support. We cannot thank our DSPS enough for their dedication.”

“We have an amazing, dedicated team,” says Karen Chase, Chief Service Officer, Langton Green. “They are tireless. They make this a special place for the individuals in our care. We could not fulfill our mission without them.”

Chase sent a daily email celebrating the accomplishments of exceptional DSPs: Breianna Askins, Victoria Akande, Archie Quartey, Jean Randall, and Jessica Covington. Their managers and peers cited their exceptional contributions.
